Urgent and emergency care waiting times

Our live waiting times show how long it may currently take to be seen at: 

• Warrington Hospital Emergency Department (Accident and Emergency) 
• Runcorn Urgent Treatment Centre  (open 8am to 9pm every day, please arrive before 8pm to allow time to be seen) 

'Longest wait time to be seen' is the current maximum waiting time to be seen and fully assessed by a medical or nursing professional. This is the time from arriving to initial assessment, not the total time spent in the department.

Please remember accident and emergency departments and 999 are for life-threatening emergencies and serious injuries only. The most seriously ill patients will always be seen first.

If you need medical help but it's not an emergency there are other services that may be able to see you more quickly:

•  NHS 111 can signpost you to services
• Urgent Treatment Centres at Widnes and Runcorn
• Pharmacies
• GP surgeries
