Warrington and Halton Diagnostics Centre

General introduction

The Warrington and Halton Diagnostics Centre provides easy access to a broad range of diagnostics (such as checks, scans and tests).

Based in convenient locations, our centre offers high quality equipment and facilities, providing our patients in Warrington and Halton with access to diagnostic appointments with shorter waiting times and at times that are more convenient for them.

The following diagnostic tests are available:

  • imaging – ultrasound tests. MRI and CT tests will be offered from June 2025 (provided at Halton Hospital, Nightingale Building and Halton Health Hub)
  • respiratory – lung  and breathing tests (provided at Halton Health Hub)
  • pathology – blood testing (provided at Halton Hospital, Nightingale Building and Halton Health Hub)
  • sleep studies (provided at Halton Health Hub)
  • audiology (provided at Halton Health Hub)
How to access this service

Referral for diagnostic tests is via GPs or hospital care teams.

Following referral you will be able to select the most convenient location from our choice of sites.

About the team

Staff from a range of health professions are responsible for overseeing and managing the different diagnostic services provided by the centre.

Useful information

Our diagnostics centre is equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. The different locations are accessible to Halton and Warrington patients and have parking facilities.  

Our diagnostics centre is not a walk-in facility. Patients will access services at the centre through referral by their GP or other hospital service.
