The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at Runcorn provides treatment for conditions that require urgent treatment but are not life-threatening including:

minor cuts or wounds

bites, stings, rashes and allergic reactions

minor burns and scalds
-
sprains, strains and joint pains
-
fractures
-
ear or eye injuries and infections
The centre provides diagnostic facilities including an X-ray Department and is kite marked by North West Ambulance Service, which means that if you call an ambulance but your condition is not life-threatening you may brought to the UTC for treatment rather than to an Emergency Department (Accident and Emergency).
On arrival you will be initially assessed to prioritise the urgency of your care. You will be seen by a doctor or experienced nurse practitioner who will provide your care.
Anyone with a life-threatening emergency should call 999 immediately.
Opening times
The Urgent Treatment Centre is open from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year (including bank holidays) but please arrive before 8pm to allow time to be seen before closing.
