Maternity - Infant Feeding

General introduction

The Infant Feeding Service at WHH is dedicated to supporting families with all aspects of infant feeding. Whether parents choose to breastfeed, bottle-feed, or a combination of both, our highly skilled maternity team are here to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to meet the needs of mothers, babies, and their families.

Infant feeding support can be provided within the hospital or out in the community. Our community service includes home visits or health clinics with midwives and maternity support workers.

We work closely with health visitors and community services to provide seamless support once families leave the hospital with their baby.

Local authorities also have community infant feeding teams. For more information about these team please see the 'Useful information' section below.
