Patch party
Event date: Tuesday 27 May 2025
Time: 2:00pm
Location: Children’s Ward B10, Warrington Hospital, Lovely Lane, Warrington, WA5 1QG
Patch parties are held for children who have been diagnosed with amblyopia and attend the Orthoptic Clinic for treatment.
Amblyopia is one of the most common vision deficits in children and can be caused by various factors affecting visual development in early childhood. It is a challenging condition to treat due to difficulties with treatment compliance.
This patch party will be held by Warrington Hospital Orthoptic Department, supporting the campaign #WePatch, launched by the British and Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS) for World Orthoptic Day 2025.
Bring your child along to take part in fun activities while proudly wearing their patches. Parents and guardians can also connect with other families and orthoptists, offering new ideas, a space to ask questions and encouragement.
If your child is having patching treatment under Warrington Hospital, please get in touch with the department for more information about how to attend the event.
