Bewsey Knitting Club

Primary Knitters keeping our neonatal babies warm!

Bewsey Lodge Primary School presented the neonatal unit at Warrington Hospital with their latest pieces from their after school knitting club.

The knitting club has been keeping the Trust’s babies warm and snug for several years now and never fail to amaze us with their skills.

The group are avid knitters who made blankets, cardigans and hats for the little babies on the unit.

Julia Austin, the nursery nurse on the unit went to the school to meet them and collect the knitwear commented,

“It is always lovely when we receive donations to the unit, but it is extra special when it is made by children. I really enjoyed visiting the school and seeing the children in action, they made me feel very welcome.”
